Major Canberra races

These are the events runners look up first. Open each listing for the distances on offer before you enter.

• Canberra Times Fun Run (1 November 2026): the late-year fun run in the city.
• Stromlo Running Festival (14 November 2026): a trail festival west of town.
• Kowen Trail Run (17 January 2027): a summer trail race in Kowen Forest.
• Canberra Times Marathon Festival (10 April 2027): the city’s main race weekend.
• Bay to Bridge Run (15 May 2027): a road race after the marathon festival.
• Kowen Winter Trails (20 June 2027): the winter trail race back at Kowen.

Canberra races by distance

Use the distance lists below when you already know the race you want. The Canberra Times Fun Run is the named fun run. The marathon festival is where to look for a marathon or a half on the same weekend as shorter races. Trail runners should open the trail list for Stromlo and both Kowen events.
