We believe that the essence of a great run lays in the combination of location, scenery, terrain and course structure—it’s the bringing all of these components together that make a great run. Luckily the ultra community is made up of great people, people who want to experience the magic of our national parks, who are willing to support and share information with people new to the sport and to share a story and their experiences after a run.

Welcome to the Alpine Challenge—an event that will push you to your limits while immersing you in the breathtaking beauty of the Victorian Alps. Picture yourself conquering rugged terrains, challenging yourself physically and mentally, and experiencing an adventure like no other. Are you ready to take on this extraordinary trail running experience?

- Location: Alpine National Park, Victoria, Australia
- Distances:
- 10 km, 16 km, 25 km
- Marathon distance
- 42 km, 60 km, 100 km
- 100 mile (160 km)
- Activities: Running through 6 major climbs, 5 river crossings, historic huts, and stunning views
- Highlights: A challenging course with varying weather conditions, from intense heat to snowstorms and subzero temperatures
- Qualification: This event is a qualifying race for Hardrock 100
