Tasmanian Iconic Walks – Mount Field
Tarn Shelf Track, Mount Field TAS, AustraliaThe aim of Tasmanian Iconic Walks is simple. We offer challenging day walks that will make the world a better place while spreading the message that “higher levels of physical activity reduce your risk of stroke.” So, enjoy immersing yourself in this Tasmanian hiking opportunity, improve your hiking fitness and take part in the event itself while fundraising for the Stroke research. Tasmanian Iconic Walks next fundraising hike is at Mount Field, Tasmania. Come and experience the ‘turning of the fagus’, Australia’s only deciduous beech, with leaves turning from green, to red, orange to golden yellow before the leaves fall completely. We will offer 2 options with this event. Option 1 is to walk in and out to the Tarn shelf 3-5 hours, to a maximum distance of 13km (but you can turn around at any point for a shorter walk). Option 2 is the Tarn Shelf Circuit walked anti-clockwise 6-8 hours, 14 km.
