The Sunshine Walk is a wonderful display of community spirit and show of support for people in our region impacted by cancer. Now in its fifth year, the walk offers the flexibility of a community gathering starting and finishing at Albury Sports Ground, or a DIY option of walking at a location of your choice. The main event starting at Albury Sports Ground will take in some of Albury Wodonga's best known attractions, including the spectacular Murray River, Gateway Island and Belvoir Park. The DIY option gives you the opportunity to participate in this important community event no matter where you are on the day. In previous years, we've seen walkers plan their own routes in towns throughout the region including Walla Walla, Corowa, Yarrawonga, Bright and Myrtleford. The walk is the major fundraising event of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund and has raised over $920,000.

Welcome to the Sunshine Walk – a heartwarming event that brings our community together to support those affected by cancer. Join us on Sunday, November 10, 2025, for a day full of hope, solidarity, and a touch of sunshine.

Location: Hovell Tree Park, Albury, along the scenic Murray River
Distances: Choose from 5km, 10km, or challenge yourself with a 20km walk

The Sunshine Walk isn’t just a stroll; it’s a journey of compassion and empowerment. Lace up your walking shoes and embark on a path of support for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund. Invite your loved ones to sponsor your walk and make a difference in the lives of those fighting against cancer.

This year marks a special milestone as we start and finish at Hovell Tree Park, exploring iconic Albury Wodonga landmarks like the majestic Murray River, Gateway Island, and Belvoir Park. For the first time, we offer a DIY option, allowing you to participate from anywhere, spreading the spirit of the event far and wide.

In its sixth year, the Sunshine Walk has become a beacon of hope, raising over $1,080,000 for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund. Be part of this incredible journey, whether you walk with us in Albury or create your own path in a town near you.
