This group is a social running group with runs ranging out over the Eastern suburbs and North Adelaide. The group is generally 20-40 people running for an hour (10-12km) and includes 3 hr marathoners to back of the pack plodders (who sometimes take shortcuts).

The year is divided into two distinct seasons. During months of Daylight Savings, the Group heads up onto the Trails around Blackhill and Morialta National Parks. During the other months, The Group stick to the streets and Linear Park paths. The Runs range in distance from 10km to 20km. If the idea of running on Scenic Trails, up and down Hills appeals to you then come out to Athelstone on a Wednesday night.

Thursday mornings.. 6am SHARP Session…..2.5 km warm up, 5 x 100 Mtr Run throughs Followed by 5 Kms at Race pace over varying distances Duration… 50 to 60 mins All paces welcome The aims of the group are to improve runners speed which will in time bring down their race times and enable runners to achieve some personal bests.

These runs are held around the Eastern suburbs and by nature very hilly. Distance is approximately 10km. During daylight savings where we explore the trails in the area, while in Autumn and Winter we stick to the roads. The weekly run is posted the day before on our group Facebook page SARRC Norwood and Burnside Running Group.

The Sunday Groups includes the Start Running Group, introductory marathon & half marathon training group and SARRC Marathon Mentors training programs. There are new routes weekly, based on the various upcoming SARRC events. Ideal for runners training for any distance, especially those aiming for their first half or full marathon. Led by experienced SARRC instructors and club coach. All welcome and short course options weekly.

Speed Session Saturday has been in operation for approx. 35 years. The Session goes for around 1 hour and the group then congregates on Melbourne Street for a coffee. The Sessions are many and varied, some are specific distances & some are based on times, with a hill session once a month. The aims of the group are to improve runners speed which will in time bring down their race times and enable runners to achieve some personal bests.
