About Dane Verwey
For over 25 years, running has been my main movement practice and the lens through which I see the world. As a 2:22 marathoner and a physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, I bridge the gap between elite performance and injury prevention.
My career has been defined by high-performance environments, having served as a physiotherapist for the Tokyo 2021 Australian Paralympic Team and as a three-time Head Physiotherapist for Australia at the World Cross Country Championships. I am passionate about the intersection of clinical science and the running soul, focusing on building robust, resilient athletes who truly understand their own needs.

Is Dane the Right Fit for You?
The Lifelong Runner: You want to run for the next 30 years and need a professional who understands the value of longevity.
The Injured Athlete: You’re stuck in an injury cycle and need to learn how to distinguish between “good pain” (adaptation) and “bad pain” (tissue damage).
The High Performer: You are chasing a PB and want a physio who understands the mental and physical demands of high-mileage training.
What to Expect
My sessions are heavy on education and empowerment. I love teaching my patients as much as I love treating them.
Clinical Assessment: We use objective testing to see exactly how your body handles load.
Jargon-Free Education: I specialise in breaking down complex topics into simple, actionable concepts you can use.
Collaborative Strategy: You won’t just leave with a list of exercises; you’ll leave with a clear plan on how to adjust your training volume and intensity.
