The Run for the Kids returns in 2025, inviting runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in one of Melbourne’s most iconic events. Since its inception in 2006, the event has raised over $22 million for the Good Friday Appeal, helping fund critical research, cutting-edge technology, and vital programs at The Royal Children’s Hospital.

Courses for All Abilities
- Short Course: 4.7km
- Start: Harbour Esplanade, Docklands
- Finish: Docklands Park on Collins Street

- Begin with a flat stretch before ascending the Bolte Bridge for stunning city views.
- A single aid station at 2.5km ensures participants stay hydrated.
- A family-friendly distance perfect for beginners, walkers, and kids.

- Long Course: 14.4km
- Start: Footscray Road, Docklands
