The Tamworth Running Festival on 4 August 2024 is an annual event with half marathon, 10km and 5km fun runs, a 6km community walk plus a free Kids' run. This event is organised by the Tamworth Triathlon Club. It started back in 1974 with just the 10km fun run with the other events being added over the years. It is the 3rd oldest fun run in NSW and a much loved contribution to the lifestyle of North West NSW.
