Run Maroondah aims to encourage individuals and families to take part in physical activity together and have fun while doing it!

Run Maroondah is all about challenging yourself within a supportive environment - whether that means taking on the 10km/15km run, 5km run/walk or even the kids 1.2km race.

This event is designed for all ages and athletic abilities. Runners and walkers are welcome to join us for an active morning discovering the tracks and surrounds of HE Parker Reserve - Heathmont.

Come dressed in your fun, bright activewear! Entry includes finisher's ribbon and healthy refreshments.

Registration and event information

  • Date: Sunday 20 October
  • Time: 9am
  • Location: HE Parker Reserve, Heathmont
  • Registrations close: Friday 11 October at 11.59pm, unless maximum entries are reached prior*.

*An additional fee of $10 per entry type applies for registrations received from Saturday 12 October to Tuesday 15 October at 11.59pm. 

Entry fees

  • 1.2km Kids Dash: $15 per child (under 14 years)      
  • 15km run: $36 per individual $31 concession (no family option)
  • 10km run: $31 per individual $26 concession (no family option)
  • 5km run/walk: $26 individual, $20 concession
  • 5km family: $57.00 per family* (family is up to 4 participants, Additional family members $10 per extra participant) 

What to bring

  • running shoes (shoes must cover your feet no sandals/thongs)
  • sunscreen and a hat or a cap
  • bottle of water
  • warm clothes for after the event
  • medication if required

Please label all of your items and do not bring any valuables.

Race times

All entrants will be required to marshal at the race start line for a 9am start.

Start times will be staggered across the different race distances:

  • 9am - 15km and 10km runners
  • 9.05am (approx.) - 5km runners and walkers
  • 9.10am (approx.)  - 1.2km kids race 

Race bib collection prior to race day 

All registrations received by Friday 11 October at 11.59pm are welcome to collect their race bib prior to race day.

Race bib collection will also be available from the registration marquee at the event.

Race Rules

A few race rules to remember: 

Track marshals are located around the course. All marshals are wearing a fluoro vest. You must obey all directions from the track marshals.

To ensure your time is recorded please run/walk over the start timing pad and end timing pad.

Please be aware of other runners, walkers and prams.

Whilst running or walking, if you are experiencing any difficulties and would like assistance, please signal for assistance.

Participants are encouraged to stop and render assistance in the case of an accident/incident. Report any accident/incident to the nearest Track marshal and they will call for assistance.
