Fog-draped eucalypts, granite outcrops and thigh-burning climbs: the Macedon Trail Runs turn Victoria’s most mysterious mountain into a one-day playground on Sunday 5 October 2025. From the BBQ shelter at the summit carpark you’ll dive straight onto single-track that winds past Camel’s Hump and the Memorial Cross before disappearing into the clouds that so often cloak Mt Macedon. Five distances—10 km, 21 km, 30 km, 42 km and 50 km—mean everyone from first-time trail‐runners to ultra-hunters can test themselves on the fourth stop of the Trailsplus Mountain Trail Series.

Why runners love the Macedon Trail Runs

  • True mountain variety – fast ridgeline fire roads, root-laced fern gullies, and the series’ steepest pinches (pack poles if you’re in for 30 km+).
  • Summit-side start/finish – family and friends can picnic, snap finish-line photos and still stroll to Camel’s Hump lookout while you’re on course.
  • Cool-weather PRs – early-spring temps and Macedon’s frequent mist keep overheating at bay; the climbs do the rest.
  • Not-for-profit ticketing – Trailsplus uses Humanitix, so your booking fee funds kids’ education programs.
