The festival is held across a full weekend in May, with races and events taking place in Lorne and Apollo Bay.
Where does the Great Ocean Road Running Festival take place?
Events are hosted along Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road, starting in and around Lorne and finishing in Apollo Bay.
What race distances are available?
The festival includes a wide range of events, from kids runs and short fun runs through to trail runs, half marathons, a marathon, an ultra marathon and a scenic coastal walk.
Are there finishers medals?
Yes, finishers receive medals to celebrate completing one of Australia’s most iconic running events.
How do I change my shuttle bus pass or route?
To add or change a bus pass, log into your myevents.active.com account, locate your Great Ocean Road Run Fest registration and select “purchase merchandise”. Bus passes can also be purchased from the Lorne or Apollo Bay Race Week Office. Bus passes purchased after April 2 must be collected from the Race Week Office on Friday or Saturday.
What time do the shuttle buses depart?
Morning buses begin filling and departing from 5:45am with no set bus times, so participants are encouraged to arrive by 5:35am. After the race, buses depart from Apollo Bay from 11:00am, with the final service leaving at 3:00pm sharp.
