231KM Ekistica Sonder Monster
Start: Friday, May 16, 9:00 AM

Distance: 231km

This is the ultimate test of physical and mental endurance—a point-to-point, nonstop ultramarathon traversing the entire length of the Larapinta Trail. From the heights of Mt Sonder to the historic Telegraph Station in Alice Springs, runners will navigate technical ridges, ancient gorges, and rocky outcroppings. With only a handful of runners ever completing this course within the cutoff, it’s a badge of honor for the boldest of trail enthusiasts.
128KM Ekistica Ellery Monster

Starting at the picturesque Ellery Creek Big Hole, this race takes runners through the most runnable and visually stunning sections of the Larapinta Trail. Highlights include the breathtaking Razorback Ridge and Brinkley Bluff, with night running under a canopy of stars. This race is a demanding yet rewarding option for experienced ultramarathoners looking to push their limits.
65KM Ekistica Standley Monster

This shorter but equally challenging race starts at Standley Chasm and winds through some of the Larapinta Trail’s most scenic sections. From steep climbs to flowing single-track, the route offers spectacular views of Euro Ridge and the West MacDonnell Ranges before finishing at the Telegraph Station. It’s a technical, rewarding adventure for trail runners looking for an intense one-day challenge.
25KM RFDS Simpsons Monster
Start: Sunday, May 18 (9:00 AM & 12:00 PM waves)
Cut-Off Time: 6 hours
Distance: 25km
Elevation Gain: 650m
This shorter race covers Section 1 of the Larapinta Trail, starting at Simpsons Gap and ending at the Telegraph Station. With its mix of runnable trails, manageable climbs, and stunning views—especially from the iconic Euro Ridge—this is the perfect race for trail newcomers or those looking to experience the Larapinta Trail without the grueling distances of the ultras.
5KM Family Fun Run
Start: Sunday, May 18
Distance: 5km
Designed for families and new runners, this event takes participants on a scenic, beginner-friendly loop near the Telegraph Station, offering a taste of the Larapinta’s beauty in a relaxed, supportive environment.
