Course Details:
The Hounslow 17K course showcases the best Blackheath has to offer. Runners set off at Allview Escape and make their way along stony clifftops toward the Grand Canyon loop. The route takes you to Evans Lookout for breathtaking views of the Grose Valley before descending into ancient canyon trails. Navigate through carved sandstone walls and past swirling water pools, then battle a challenging climb that saps your energy before emerging at Neates Glen. Finish back at Allview Escape while being cheered by a roaring community that celebrates your achievement.

Elevation: Approximately 2500m Ascend+

Course Details:
The Hounslow Marathon is the pinnacle of trail running, a true test of grit and endurance. The course begins just like the 17K—running across the clifftops to the Grand Canyon before descending through ancient canyon trails with striking views at Evans Lookout. But the marathon then takes it to another level. Runners embark on a famous out-and-back from Allview Escape to the Pinnacles via the iconic Perrys Lookdown and the chiselled Lockleys Pylon. Experience a plunge into the Grose Wilderness, cross the Grose River, and scale a peak that offers an awe-inspiring display of the valley below. With a staggering 2500m of ascent, this course is designed for those who crave challenge and the sweet taste of victory.
Awards & Prize Money:
- Top 3 Men and Women in both the Hounslow 17K and Marathon will receive prize money.
- First Place: $500
- Second Place: $350
- Third Place: $200
Additional recognition will be given through age group awards and special community accolades.

- Bib Collection at Sportitude, 20 Manton St, Hindmarsh from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Get an early feel for the event—meet fellow runners and explore the runner’s village.
- Saturday, 13 September 2025:
- Bib Collection: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Sportitude, 20 Manton St, Hindmarsh
- Hounslow Marathon begins in early morning waves from Allview Escape
- Enjoy pre-race briefings, safety checks, and a vibrant pre-event atmosphere complete with food vendors, local coffee, and entertainment at the event village.
- Post-race, join for winners’ presentations, relive the adrenaline, and sample local gourmet offerings as the day unwinds.
- Sunday, 14 September 2025:
- Hounslow 17K starts in multiple waves early in the morning.
- Bab Collection for the 17K takes place at Allview Escape and designated start points.
- Award ceremonies and age group presentations follow, culminating with a community celebration as runners finish their epic journey through nature’s playground.
- Kids Race & Family activities ensure fun for runners of all ages.
Note: Bus transport will be available from the finish to the start points for both the 17K and Marathon events. Bib collection for the 17K and Marathon will only be at their respective start locations starting at 7:00 AM on race day.

Mandatory Gear and Safety
Given the rugged nature of the courses, all participants must adhere to a mandatory gear list. This ensures your safety while you tackle steep climbs, technical descents, and unpredictable weather:
- Waterproof jacket with hood (waterproof and breathable)
- Thermal long sleeve top (polypropylene or wool)
- Warm headwear (beanie, buff, or balaclava)
- Sufficient hydration capacity (weather-dependent, 2L recommended for longer races)
- Snake bite bandage and survival/emergency blanket
- Fully charged mobile phone, working torch, and collapsible cup
